Optimising the PC Processor usage to boost speed May 6, 2010

If your pc is a dual core ,core duo, quadro, etc.

Do you know if it is using only one processor or all available processors to run the system?

a multi-core processor is a processing system composed of two or more independent cores.

Most of the Pc’s with multi cores are generally configured to use one  processor when bought, and by simply following these steps you can configure your Pc to use multi cores available.

1)  Go to start -> Run.

2) Type msconfig

3)  On system Configuration, Click Boot Tab.

4) Go to Advanced Option.

5) On Boot Advanced Option, click the checkbox with Number of processors and select the maximum number pf processors available on t he dropdown list.

6) Apply and restart the system.

Hopefully this might make your computer unnoticabely faster.
